The Tarnations are raw, live rock & roll band that re-unites two Chicago indie rockers in Gregg Yde & Dave Ashdown. The two first worked together on THE NURV's debut CD 'Sinners & Social Graces' produced by Brad Wood (Liz Phair) in 1991. Over the past 30 years the Ashdown & Yde have made critically acclaimed records with such renown producers as Doug McBride (Smashing Pumpkins), Mitch Easter (R.E.M.), Rick G. Nelson (Afgan Wigs), Tommy Stinson (The Replacements), Darrell Thorp (Beck) and the aforementioned Wood with former bands Braam, Black Laurel, Boom Hank & Waiting for Henry. The band features California transplant Ron Laskin on bass/vocals and North Carolina jangle pop scene drummer John Holoman.
